As well as, … my 15th year as Webmaster/Host of www.HermonAtkinsMacNeil.com . These words are my 326th posting of their life and work together as the “Sculptors MacNeil”.
Wow! I never expected to create such a vast & virtual compendium of my “Uncle Hermon.” He and my grandfather Tom Henry McNeil were actually cousins. But he told his four children to address him as “Uncle Hermon.”
Their wedding reception was held in Hermon’s new studio in the Marquette Building. They would enter through the doors where his four bronze panels of the life of Fr. Pere Marquette were installed. Here is how they look after cleaning and re-installation several years ago.
