Carol Louise Brooks MacNeil
(1871 – 1944)
Born in Chicago, Carol Brooks MacNeil studied sculpture at the Art Institute of Chicago and assisted Lorado Taft in creating statues for the 1893 World’s Exposition.
In 1895, married sculptor Herman A. MacNeil. She continued her studies in Paris under the famous sculptor Frederick MacMonnies and won awards at later expositions.
It is unclear which work(s) MacNeil exhibited in Fine Arts Palace, 1893 World’s Exposition.

Carol Brooks MacNeil in 1907 with her two sons, Claude (rt) and Alden (lt) at their College Point Home in Queens, NYC, NY where she lived until her death in 1944.
